The Obama Health Care Summit is underway today at the Blair House where the President of the United States has been meeting with key officials including Congresswoman Louise Slaughter and Senator Lamar Alexander regarding the stalled health care reform bill.

Both Congresswoman Louise Slaughter and Senator Lamar Alexander have spoken during this summit with strong objections to such parts of the reform as preexisting conditions and who will have the power in the reform: doctors or the U.S. government.

Lamar Alexander had a heated discussion with President Obama which had both men interrupting each other. Alexander requested that the current bill be shelved and a new one be started from scratch.

Republicans claim the current health care reform proposed will raise taxes for Americans,have more regulations and also cause insurance premiums to rise for consumers.
